The new year 2023 has begun. Rarely we had so little precipitation in the winter and spring. The relatively cool temperatures from mid-April have slowed down the vegetation. The vines enjoyed the winter rest and used it to gather their strength from the soil in order to focus all their energies into the new, fresh shoots now.
We invest around thousand working hours per hectare in our vineyards. The considerable extra effort and the organic cultivation pay off: with exciting grapes and an intact nature. In 2022 we were able to bring very high qualities into the cellar. The first wines from the new vintage are already available. The year was hot, but due to the high altitudes, our wines again impress with expression, finesse and a unique identity.
The current vintages enjoyed excellent feedback at many wine presentations in spring. Whether Düsseldorf, Bolzano or New York - for us, the Vinitaly trade fair in Verona is the meeting point par excellence. We would also like to thank you for so much encouragement from many corners of Italy, Europe and the world.
Behind the scenes we are working on several exciting projects. The addition of a two-story basement is progressing well and the work will soon be completed. The lower floor will house the many farm implements we need for organic farming. The upper floor will feature a new, state-of-the-art grape reception area. There is already great interest for a new wine, which will be presented soon
